Privacy policy
Effective October 9, 2026
Project Audio (the app and projectaudio.org) is built to collect as little as possible.
What we do not collect
- There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email, or any other personal information.
- There are no ads, analytics, tracking SDKs, or advertising identifiers in the app.
- We do not sell or share data, because we do not hold any about you.
What stays on your device
Your listening position in each work and any audio you download are stored only on your device. Deleting the app, or removing downloads in Settings, deletes them. They are never sent to us.
What our servers see
To show the catalog and play audio, your device requests it from our hosting provider, Cloudflare, and for LibriVox audiobooks directly from the Internet Archive. Like any web server, these services receive your IP address and the request (for example, which book's chapter list was asked for) in order to answer it. We do not use these requests to identify or profile you. Cloudflare's and the Internet Archive's own privacy policies govern their processing: Cloudflare, Internet Archive.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
